An absolutely striking wine - and how fascinating that each vintage seems to diverge so drastically. Makes you wonder what a vertical tasting of this would feel like (noted for the future). Butter, gunpowder, unrefined sunflower oil, yellow and green fruit, lemon, damp cellar, raw nuts, seashells. And then the palate - featherlight at just 11.5% alcohol, yet brimming with freshness and mineral clarity. It's layered, delicate, super sophisticated, with a long, lip-smacking finish. There's a touch of flor-like character here too, and it's gorgeous. A wine that doesn't just impress - it stirs something.
