The house was founded in Puligny-Montrachet in 1984 by two friends, Jean-René Chartron and Louis Trébuchet, and is based today in Meursault. Since 2016 it has belonged to Maison François Martenot, the Helfrich family's Burgundy house within Les Grands Chais de France.
The Chablis commission called 2025 an early and promising year, contrasting but with healthy grapes. The Chablis harvest came to about 300,000 hectolitres, slightly below the five- and ten-year averages, after a heavily short 2024. The BIVB's November report adds that storms with local hail in early May touched the north of Chablis, with damage limited to holed leaves.
Across Burgundy as a whole, the BIVB reports heat waves in the second half of June and again from 8 to 18 August, and a harvest that was over just after mid-September.
The blue-bordered label is the one the house first used for its Puligny-Montrachet, kept today in tribute.
