A bit natty, but overall fruit-forward and round. The palate is still crisp and quite green, though uncomplicated. Chalky, a touch grainy, with iodine emerging in the finish. Whether it's the extra time on lees, time in bottle, or just more rest after the road - it feels better than last time, when the finish simply walked off mid-conversation. Now it lingers. Tasty, lively.
Compared to Jean Louis Denois Classique Brut d2025 NV, creamier texture here, less of that farmhouse funk. Round and fruity in an uncomplicated way - proper crowd-pleaser territory. The acidity's spot on, all crisp green apples and citrus snap, keeping everything fresh and lively. But then the finish arrives and... where did everyone go? It's like the wine just shrugs and walks off mid-conversation.
