Alex Craighead and his crazy tricks. My outcast of the evening. Why? Well, it's mineral in a bad way. A reminiscent of spoiled stream with notes of rotten eggs and copper. A bit of fruit. A bit of VA. It's acidity is fine as it was elevated by VA. But nothing really fascinating.
About
Alex went a little crazy with this cuvée; he wanted to mix every single grape he grows to get a wine that would represent a complete image of the terroir he works with. On this wine every fermentation technique has been used: carbonic, destemmed, whole cluster, and so on. The refinement took place in stainless steel tanks, oak barrels and amphora. The wine was bottled without clarification, filtration or added $SO_2$.
