Genèse Grand Cru (d2025)

At Michel Arnould & Fils the family says that everything starts with Pinot Noir. Genèse, "genesis", is the cuvée they call the starting point.

One main harvest makes up most of the blend. The other 30% is reserve wine from two other years, part of it aged in foudres.

Most of the wine ferments in stainless steel. The other 15% goes into 228- and 300-litre oak barrels, in line with the house habit of putting some wood into every cuvée. It goes through malolactic and rests on its fine lees before tirage.

This disgorgement was dosed at just 3.5 g/L.
