Oh, this was fun. On the nose, it's hard to guess it's Meunier - very fresh, expressive, and slightly creamy. Young, with a lovely aromatic profile: a touch of green (like tarragon), a hint of cheese rind, and yellow fruits - apple and mirabelle plum.
But on the palate, it leans more into what you'd expect from Meunier. There's great energy, structure, and complexity. Buckwheat bread, yellow fruit, a touch of honey. Just seriously tasty, maybe just too young.
Based on 2022 (75%) and mixed with réserve perpétuelle from 2005 to 2021. Damery, Vandières, Verneuil.
