Tasting Notes
I am tasting this particular vintage for the second time, and the experience is different today. I suppose, bottle variation. A charming yet restrained bouquet of red berries, roasted sunflower seeds and forest floor with some volatility. It's well-balanced, juicy and slightly elevated. Good, but less fascinating than previously because on the palate, it's duller.
Tasting new releases from Hummel. Unexpectedly good and clean Pinot Noir. Beautiful and elegant bouquet with notes of wild strawberry, forest floor, and slightly rotten fruits. Medium-light body, good tannin, fresh and elegant with a long and flavourful aftertaste. It's something I would drink with pleasure. The only thing that this Pinot Noir lacks is complexity, but hey, not every bottle needs this.
