Oh, classy. Really good fruit, nice oxidation. A bit pop in the tropical register, but it never tips into vulgar. Great acidity, long aftertaste, baked apples. Not structurally complex - for me a touch short on mineral backbone - but super friendly in the glass.
Vintage 2020 release of Louis Delaunay's Cuvée Prestige - made by SAS Les Roches Blanches in Oiry under the NM-426-027 code, for the German retail market (REWE and Weinfreunde.de). 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Meunier, 20% Chardonnay. Thirty months on lees, dosage 9 g/L (back label) - squarely Brut. 12% ABV. 2020 in Champagne was the driest July on record, early harvest, musts around 10-10.5%; the Comité Champagne dubbed it part of the 2018-2019-2020 trilogie splendide.
