Cheese popcorn, kozinaki nut brittle, crème brûlée. Simple but well made - round, understandable, tasty. Does exactly what an entry-level Crémant should do.
Kuehn's Crémant d'Alsace Blanc de Blancs is the entry-level brut of the house range: Auxerrois ~80% and Pinot Blanc ~20% per the back label (the producer's own page lists the two grapes without percentages). In Crémant d'Alsace, Blanc de Blancs doesn't mean Chardonnay-only as it does in Champagne - the AOC permits Chardonnay, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Riesling. Traditional method, 15 to 18 months sur lattes, dosage 9 g/L (squarely Brut). 12% ABV. Dégorgement 21 March 2024.
