Tenuta Corte Giacobbe is one of three estates of the Dal Cero family, founded by Augusto Dal Cero in 1934. The family business today is run by the third generation across three properties: Corte Giacobbe in Roncà (province of Verona, in the Soave / Lessini Durello area of Veneto), Dal Cero in Valpolicella, and Tenuta Montecchiesi in Cortona, Tuscany (acquired in 1980 by the second generation).
Roncà sits at the southern edge of the Lessini Durello zone in the Monti Lessini foothills - volcanic terroir from the extinct Calvarina and Crocetta volcanoes, with lava and tuff soils rich in microelements. The estate's range covers still Soave, Pinot Grigio (including a ramato), Pinot Nero, and a serious focus on metodo classico sparkling: the Brut, the DOC-eligible Lessini Durello Riserva Cuvée Augusto (100% Durella, ~50 months on lees, named after the founder), and the 10-10 longer-aged version.
