Renaud family estate at Solutré-Pouilly in the Mâconnais since 1927: Pouilly-Fuissé and its Premier Crus, Saint-Véran, Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly and the walled Clos de la Tournache monopole at Charnay-lès-Mâcon, farmed toward organic without certification.
Domaine Pascal Renaud is a family estate at Solutré-Pouilly in the Mâconnais, at the foot of the Roche de Solutré in Pouilly-Fuissé country, winegrowers in Pouilly since 1927 by its own label and site title (the site's estate page also shows 1924). Pascal Renaud took on the former Delacour-Balladur property as a tenant in the late 1980s and the family bought it in 1998, per the Hachette guide and the merchant Bourgogne Secret. Pascal is the winegrower, Mireille Renaud the commercial and administrative director after twenty years in the vines, and the next generation is in place: Guillaume Renaud, cellar master and sales since 2009, Amandine Renaud, a viticulture graduate on the vineyard and administration since 2012, and Flore Renaud-Vernoux, a winegrower since 2020 after coming to help with the 2019 harvest. Gault & Millau puts the estate at about 20 ha. The range runs from Pouilly-Fuissé, including the Premier Crus Aux Chailloux, Vers Cras, Aux Bouthières and Les Ménétrières and a Vieilles Vignes, to Saint-Véran Champs de Perdrix, Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly and, at Charnay-lès-Mâcon, the walled monopole Clos de la Tournache and a La Vigne Blanche that its distributor lists as a second monopole. The house states full organic viticulture as its goal rather than a certification: hillside vines grassed every other row, pruning wood mulched into the alternate rows, all other inputs from organic-certified manure and amendments, surface-only tillage, harvest by hand on most of the estate and picked slightly before full ripeness for freshness, pressing without crushing, then ageing of 12 to 36 months depending on the cuvée, all vinified and bottled at the estate.
