Cavino

Cavino was founded in 1958 in Aigio by Konstantinos Anastasiou and Ioannis Douskas, on the slopes of Aigialeia in the northern Peloponnese where, in the company's phrase, the mountains meet the sea. It trades as Oinopoiia Aigiou A.E. and bottles under its own roof. By the company's own account it runs four bottling lines and around 5,000 square metres of climate-controlled storage, and exports roughly 70% of production to more than 55 countries.

The range leans on indigenous Greek varieties - Roditis, Lagorthi, Sideritis, Mavro Kalavritino, Mavrodaphne - alongside international plantings of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, and extends past wine into ouzo, tsipouro and brandy.
