Rosé Champagne can be tricky, and while some view it as the best of both worlds, I often find it the opposite. However, in certain cases, ageing brings out favourable qualities. This particular example offers aromas of cranberries, strawberries, red currant, cloves, and a hint of Jerez. Though not highly complex, it is nicely packed and balanced, with great acidity. It remains a bit too powerful, but the overall intensity and slight maturity make it quite enjoyable. The wine finishes with a pleasant bitterness and a long aftertaste.
