The nose is decidedly Muscat-driven, and while that's not a drawback, it creates an intriguing blend when combined with cherry, kissel, earth, and smoke notes---resulting in a pleasant aroma. The wine has a charming duality, being both lively and amusing. It's not overly complex, but it's fresh and easy-going, making for an enjoyable experience. NERVOUS!
A blend of 75% Muscat Petits Grains and 25% Grenache Noir from vines farmed organically and planted in the Latour-de-France region. The grapes were purchased from winegrowers who share the same values. Vinification is natural and without additives: short maceration in whole clusters, pressing of the two grape varieties together, fermentations and aging in vats for 9 months, on the lees. Bottled without filtration or fining, just a microdose of sulphur.
