My first encounter with this producer, and I'm impressed by how this wine strikes a balance between modern and old-school styles. There's plenty of fruit---slightly jammy---but it's beautifully layered with sweet tobacco, spices, leather, and a touch of chocolate. On the palate, it's velvety, fresh, and surprisingly delicate despite its medium-plus body. Almost seamless in its flow, with a long, lingering aftertaste. Incredibly approachable and effortlessly enjoyable.
