An intriguing experience - a skin-contact Viura from Rioja. Super clean, almost sterile, but with a pleasant and approachable nose full of rhubarb, apricot, ripe peach, and mandarin. The tannin is green but not overly assertive. There's a gentle roundness, and the wine feels fresh throughout.

No funk or chaos here - making it a great introduction to skin-contact wines without the usual natural wine theatrics. Interestingly, Viura in this style almost mimics the feel of extended barrel aging - but without the texture or complexity that comes with it. Still, a curious and well-executed take.
