The estate's brut nature under the Corpinnat mark - a collective trademark rather than an appellation, which commits its members to certified organic grapes, hand harvest, complete vinification on their own premises and ageing always longer than 18 months. This bottle spent roughly 42 months on the lees.

Parellada, Macabeo and Pinot Noir, all estate-grown, hand-picked and selected twice, once in the vineyard and again at the bodega. The Ukrainian import sticker breaks the 2021 down as 60 / 30 / 10; the US importer's sheet for the 2017 gave 57 / 29 / 14. The producer publishes no percentages of its own.

Only first-run must from whole bunches, off a gentle pneumatic press, clarified by static settling and fermented at controlled temperature in stainless, then six months in tank before tirage. Zero dosage: the 1.2 g/l of residual sugar is what the base wine left behind, not liqueur added back. Certified organic by the CCPAE. Production was 29,899 bottles of 75 cl and 500 magnums, every one numbered.

The import sticker dates bottling to 23 May 2022, and the back label prints a disgorgement of 11-25, putting this release at around 42 months on the lees against the minimum three years the label commits to. Worth knowing that canfeixes.com specifies a minimum of seven years in bottle for its Corpinnat Brut Nature, so this Reserva is a shorter-aged release than the one the site documents.

2021, in the producer's words on the back label: a winter of rainstorms, snow and low temperatures followed by milder spells; a spring that began cool but with little water; a warm June with badly needed rain; a hot summer, and adequate rain at the start of September; slow ripening, with fruit of great health and quality. Independent accounts of the year in Penedès read differently in places - Foods & Wines from Spain reported modest yields on low annual rainfall and high fruit quality, but a summer cooler than expected, rain in late August, and a September milder and more overcast than usual.
