Vieilles Vignes 2019 is the flagship of Pauline Collin Berêche - sourced from a roughly 2-hectare parcel of old vines in Ludes 1er Cru. The blend for the 2019 is 65% Pinot Noir / 30% Chardonnay / 5% Petit Meslier; the Pinot drives the wine's structure and Petit Meslier contributes a small, distinctive lift. Vinified in used 450-litre Burgundy barrels sourced from Vincent Girardin in Meursault, then aged about four years on lees in bottle.
Disgorged July 2024, finished as Extra Brut with no added dosage (residual sugar of the base wine left the wine at around 4 g/L). 9,702 bottles plus 324 magnums were produced for this release - small even by grower standards.
