Domaine Michel Gaunoux Pommard Grands Epenots 2018

4.10 / 5.0750 ml@Goodwine · Burgundy 103: Côte de Beaune

Despite a warm vintage and being 6 years old, this Grands Epenots remains restrained, reflecting the winemaker's austere style. It starts with earth, spices, and night flowers, later revealing a perfumed, alluring bouquet. On the palate, it's serious with good backbone and balance, thanks to good acidity. The finish combines animal farm, earth, and red fruits. Delicious but needs more time in the bottle.

Wine #2 on Burgundy 103: Côte de Beaune event.
