Tinto Fino, the local name for Tempranillo, carries the blend, with a little Garnacha and the white Albillo Mayor alongside. Directo al Paladar credits the Garnacha and the Albillo with bringing freshness. The proportions move with the year: Wine Review Online gave the 2023 as 85% Tinto Fino, 10% Garnacha and 5% Albillo Mayor, while the importer's label on this 2024 reads 90, 5 and 5.
Accounts of the cellar work differ. WineWine, the Ukrainian importer, says the plots are picked by hand and fermented separately with native yeasts, then aged for about 12 months in a mix of barrels, larger vats and foudres. Directo al Paladar gives 12 months in used French oak. Systembolaget, describing the 2023, has fermentation in steel and a year in French and American oak of different sizes.
Both the importer and Directo al Paladar describe the wine as organic. Directo al Paladar puts production at around 180,000 bottles: a village wine, but hardly a small one.
