Roero Valmaggiore Riserva

Not ready at all. The nose is fairly simple and a bit closed, but quite pleasant - red berries, a touch of flowers and earth, some spice and oak. Though the alcohol sticks out more than it should. On the palate it's very green - tight, powerful, and clearly not showing its best yet. It needs time to soften and come together. Promising, but far from ready.
