Lágrima de Listán Negro Tinto Joven

Dark berries, a touch of graphite, earthy. Not hugely complex, but there's genuinely good acidity and a very pleasant minerality - volcanic soils at work. A hint of ascorbic sharpness, but come on, it's barely a year old. Listán Negro from the Canary Islands, made as free-run joven - no oak, no pretence. For what it is, it delivers.
