Join to read it and the restLlopart has grown vines at Subirats, in the hill country of the Penedès behind Barcelona, since a 1385 document granted them to the ancestor Bernardus Leopardi; sparkling production began in 1887. The estate runs to some 500 hectares of vineyard and forest at around 360 metres, 102 of them the family's own vines, farmed organically and certified by the CCPAE.
Corpinnat is not an appellation. It is a collective European Union trademark, taken up by a group of Penedès growers who left the Cava DO in 2019 with Llopart among the founders, and its terms bite where the DO's do not: 100% organic grapes, hand harvest, and vinification entirely on the winery's own premises, drawing on estate vineyards and long-term contracts with growers, audited at least three times a year by Bureau Veritas. Sitting outside the DO system, these wines are sold under the plain European category of quality sparkling wine, made by the traditional method.
Panoramic is the classic Penedès trio, which Llopart gives as 50% Xarel-lo, 40% Macabeu and 10% Parellada. The house figure for the cuvee is more than 54 months on lees. This bottle is a 2021 harvest disgorged in June 2026, carrying 6 g/L of sugar on the importer's panel - comfortably inside brut, which allows up to 12. Certified vegan.
