Fetească Neagră 2022/2023

Most wines belong to one harvest. This Fetească Neagră belongs to two: Te Wā blended 2022 and 2023 and put both years on the bottle.

The winery's own notes show how different they were. 2022 had a late spring without frost and a moderately hot summer with enough rain, and picking ran through early and mid September. 2023 brought sudden spring frosts, then a dry and abnormally hot July and August, and a harvest that started at the end of August.

Te Wā has done this before. Its earlier multi-vintage Fetească Neagră came from a small east-facing plot in the Purcari area of Ștefan Vodă. A bit over a third of that wine spent 24 months in oak, and the rest six months in steel. No such details are published for this release.

It was bottled on 10 November 2025.
