Perfumed and chaotic - a swirl of red and black fruits, volatile acidity, sweat, tomato sauce, and cured meat. The nose is arresting, in a way that makes you pause. On the palate, it's dense and muscular, with firm tannins and decent acidity, but it feels disjointed - as if all the parts are there but haven't agreed on how to play together. A compelling mess, if you will. Not boring, but certainly not at peace.
