This bottle proves the lack of balance and heaviness is not a new style of Nicolas Joly. After the first sniff and a sip, I thought it was some cheap diluted Madeira. Maybe you really need to taste in a few days after uncorking.
In the nose, it's about Tawny Porto, chestnut husk and bruised apple. The acidity is high. Alcohol is high and is not balanced. The aftertaste is rather short. Instead of flavours, this wine rewards you with a long warm trace from your mouth to the belly. Not bad per se, the experience is interesting.
