Showing its age now. Some balsamic, lots of leather, dried fruits, stewed fruits, jam. Something chocolatey lurking. At its peak, in good condition - everything's integrated, everything's complex. Interesting? No. Pleasant to drink? Yes, because it's become soft and gentle with age. Tannins fully resolved and developed, acidity not particularly high. Long finish. Tasty, but boring. There's a hint of ethanol starting to poke through on the nose. I suspect this was far more interesting a decade ago.
