We overchilled it at first, and in that state I actually liked it more - despite it being closed. It started beautifully, with stories of salty roasted almonds and a mix of white and yellow fruits. But over time, the fruit took over, and the oak began to speak louder, bringing in vanilla and creamy notes. And then - banana. On the palate, the wine softened into something more mellow and crowd-pleasing. Which isn't a bad thing per se, but it also lost its intrigue. A very easy wine - almost too easy - afraid to speak its mind.
