Chardonnay

A melon and coconut-led parade, with a heavily buttered croissant marching alongside. Smoked cheddar and an odd petroleum note. Despite its low RS level, it wears an off-dry feel with its medium-full body, flabby acidity and a balance that barely hits fair. It's a bread and butter show (what a fitting name) overwhelming the palate, leaving little room for the scant fruitiness to shine. While aiming to please, it ends up a crowd teaser in not the fun way. The verdict? Flabby and unconvincing, this one's a buttery slide into the mediocre.
