The aroma is wild. Meat juice with thyme. Very strange. More herbs, dried cherry, old wooden chest, musk, blood, pomegranate. The nose is cosmos-level stuff - seriously compelling.
But then you drink it. Powerful, hard work. High acidity, super tannin. This is challenging wine that demands respect rather than offers pleasure. The aromatics alone justify the experience, but it's not exactly fun. Still, there's quality here - serious, uncompromising Aglianico that knows what it is. Just be prepared for a workout.
