Ant Moore's Estate Pinot Noir is a Marlborough blend rather than a single site. For the 2019, the producer took the fruit from the upper Wairau Valley and the Waihopai Valley, gave it about five days of cold soak in open-top fermenters, let it ferment on wild yeasts and aged it for around nine months in barrels of mixed age, from new to well used.
In Marlborough, 2016 was a large, near-record harvest.
