A négociant house at Sillery, best known outside Champagne as the elaborator of the Éphémère series.
Drémont Père & Fils is a small family house at Sillery, in the Marne, holding the négociant-manipulant matriculation NM-717-001. It publishes essentially nothing about itself, and outside Champagne it is known almost entirely as the house that elaborates Éphémère, the numbered series of one-off cuvées that Frédéric Savart and his partners began in 2014.
Négociant-manipulant status is the relevant fact for those wines: it allows a house to buy grapes, must or finished wine from other growers and bottle under its own name, which a récoltant-manipulant, restricted to its own fruit, cannot do. Bottles from the collaboration have appeared over the years under several trading names, variously Drémont Père & Fils, Savart & Drémont, and the guest-selector pairings, which is why the same operation can appear under more than one name.
