Caroline Morey is the eldest daughter of Jean-Marc Morey of Chassagne-Montrachet and granddaughter of Albert Morey, who began domaine-bottling in 1950 - the family has farmed Chassagne since the mid-16th century. She took her share of her father's vineyards and launched her own label with the 2014 vintage, working from the cellar she shares with her husband Pierre-Yves Colin of Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet.
The domaine has grown to about 7 hectares across Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and Beaune, roughly 60% Chardonnay, farmed lutte raisonnee with worked soils. The whites are whole-bunch pressed, fermented on indigenous yeasts in 350-litre barrels (about 20-30% new depending on cuvee), raised without batonnage and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The range runs from the village-level Chambrees blend and a set of Chassagne 1er Crus (Les Chaumees, Les Vergers, Les Champs-Gains, Les Caillerets) through Santenay and Beaune 1er Cru Greves to a sliver of Criots-Batard-Montrachet.
