On lees
300 months (25 years)
The notion that this wine has spent 25 years on lees is indeed thrilling, though the reality presents a more challenging experience. The wine appears closed off, with its complexity not entirely appealing. Aromas hint at sake, a damp cellar, and wet limestone, with fruit notes being almost absent. Despite this, it boasts great acidity and a long aftertaste, with a character that is both delicate and subtle. Bubbles are almost absent. That's an interesting experience for sure!
