Ratings
Fortunately, the initial aggressive fizziness and overwhelming VA dissipate quickly, revealing a straightforward wine. The nose isn't overly expressive, offering notes of dried dark berries, a hint of Cola-like herbs, and a touch of BBQ. While not too expressive, these elements add an intriguing touch. On the palate, it's a bit syrupy and missing some freshness, yet it remains pleasantly jammy without being too heavy. There's a slight herbaceous quality that makes it easy to drink. I'm drawn to its herbal character and the intriguing bacon-like flavours, which make this wine enjoyable in its own unique way.
Aggressive and unfriendly at the beginning, but after giving it some time to breathe and calm down, it became a pretty decent (kind of) 'table' wine. Fruit-forward: black currant and blackberry with some volatility and chocolate. Almost full-bodied, quite fresh and astringent. With flavours of chocolate cherry cake. Hard to drink solo.
