Chianti Classico

Now this is pleasant. The nose might not write poetry, but the structure tells a compelling story. Cherries, violets, earthy notes, salami and a bit of tobacco. Good acidity, tannins still finding their path, noticeable oak, but the balance just works. Elegant in its own way - really nice. Good fruit core. And that hint of blood iron? That's what makes it interesting.
