Tasting Notes
This wine is a perplexing enigma, much like being roused from deep slumber by an unexpected noise. It carries both the gravitas of age and a surprising vitality, leaving me caught in the intriguing tension between the two. Its old-school charm presents a formidable challenge to unravel - not an easy venture, yet undeniably intriguing.
The nose is a veritable tapestry: prune, black cherry, and blueberry intertwine with rugged leather, comforting tobacco, and a swirl of spices. On the palate, it's a full-bodied force, rich beyond measure and complex. Each sip feels like a new chapter of an ancient tale that's not quite ready to reveal its secrets. While I might not completely grasp it, I appreciate the story it dares to tell.
