Ratings
Tasted blind and correctly guessed the producer - though knowing it came from Lo did narrow the field. Still, a beautiful wine. It's young and, compared to Culasso's Langhe of the same year, feels slightly more forced and a touch less refined. But that doesn't take away from its charm. Perfumed nose of strawberry compote, cherry, rosehip, a hint of meat and earthy tones. Warm and charged, yet elegant - there's both sophistication and a kind of quiet intensity here.
This wine is quite impressive. It would benefit from more time in the bottle, and if opened now, it needs considerable time to breathe in the glass to fully reveal its potential. Nevertheless, its quality is evident. The nose is beautifully composed of strawberries, earth, black pepper, flowers, raw meat, and sweet dried herbs. On the palate, it is fresh and well-structured, with slightly rough tannins, yet overall, it achieves a sophisticated balance. At 14.5% ABV, the alcohol is better integrated than in their entry-level label. The wine finishes long, with lingering flavors of dried herbs, strawberries, and a hint of cola.
