Matassa Rouge Vertical
A gathering just for patrons. Not one yet? Join today →
One wine, five years in a row. Matassa Rouge is Tom Lubbe's old-vine Carignan from the schist above Calce, low alcohol, picked early, made with as little as possible.
Last spring we ran Cuvée Romanissa through the years and watched it change shape from 2006 to 2023. Now it is the turn of their other red. Five consecutive vintages of Rouge, 2019 to 2023, poured oldest to youngest, to see what five very different years did to the same vines.
A couple of extra glasses will show up along the way. What they are is my business until they are in your glass.
Light reds, low alcohol, high energy. Wednesday night, easy on the wallet.
