Oh, this is delicious. Perfect right-here-right-now drinking. Baked apples and honeycomb, propolis stickiness, that candy sweetness that could go wrong but doesn't because herbs keep pulling it back. Then this weird peanut butter thing sneaks in. Acidity keeps the whole show lively, everything in its place. It's sophisticated hedonism in a glass.
This is gorgeous stuff - bright but gentle, still young but drinking brilliantly right now. The oak and oxidation dance is spot on: baked apples, honeycomb, propolis, that candy sweetness offset by herbs. Acidity keeps everything lively. It's just so well made, so delicious. Need to grab a bottle or two of this before it disappears. Bouzy Grand Cru showing exactly why it's special - power with finesse, complexity without trying too hard.
Deeply honeyed and perfumed nose - baked apples, honeycomb, toasted hazelnuts, and something like those pear duchess sweets from childhood. The palate brings a touch of salinity, hints of oyster shell minerality, but for all its seductive aromatics, it lacks the intensity and structure to properly follow through. Like a brilliant opening act that doesn't quite nail the finale. The nose alone is worth the price of admission - genuinely compelling - but the palate feels slightly underpowered for Bouzy.
